Founded in São Borja in 1995, Brasil TecPar aims to raise R$ 200 million through investment rounds. The goal is to use these funds to expand by acquiring new companies. Since 2015, the company from Rio Grande do Sul has acquired 42 operations across six states, and more are expected in 2022, anticipated CEO Gustavo Stock in an interview with the Acerto de Contas program on Rádio Gaúcha.
"We already have about three or four [acquisitions] that I believe should happen in 2022. We have been carrying out larger transactions that make more sense. These are moves that, in quantity, are fewer, but in customer and business volume, they are greater. We expect to double the company’s business volume," he stated.
The acceleration began in 2020, when the company designed a national plan to expand into states beyond Rio Grande do Sul. To achieve this, it established partnerships with private equity investors as well as with the financial market.
"Today, the fuel for the company comes from investment banks. We have two partners in this regard, and private equity is still on our radar. We are still looking for a financial partner, but the moves we have made so far have been financed by investment banks that believe in the sector," he explained.
Recently, it was reported that Brasil TecPar acquired Titânia Telecom, which has approximately 50,000 customers in Mato Grosso, in Brazil’s Midwest region, for R$ 180 million. This was the company’s second acquisition in 2022. In January, it integrated Ponto Com, from Mato Grosso do Sul.
In 2021, Brasil TecPar had already acquired 14 other operations across Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Mato Grosso, and Mato Grosso do Sul. The company expects to close the year with an annualized revenue of nearly R$ 800 million.
